There are a number of resources available to help you get information about sex offender activity in your community.

New York State’s NY-Alert system allows you to receive notifications when registered sex offenders move into or out of your community. NY-Alert lets you choose a radius of up to 25 miles about which you can receive sex offender alerts.

Registering to receive NY-Alert updates is free. Simply click the link below to get started:

There are also other resources available to help keep your family safe from sex offenders.

You can search the NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services Sex Offender Registry to find out how many sex offenders live in your community, as well as search for information about a particular sex offender.

Additionally, Parents for Megan’s Law offers sex offender alert updates, provides safety tips for families, and allows residents to report sex offenders who they believe fail to comply with the law. Parents for Megan’s Law also provides services to victims of sexual abuse.
