February 4, 2011
State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that the New York State Senate recently passed a legislative resolution he sponsored honoring Lindenhurst resident Christopher Kenny for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
“Becoming an Eagle Scout is an exceptional achievement which only a select few ever attain. Christopher proved himself worthy of this high honor after many years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to service. I congratulate him on earning the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout and am pleased that his achievement was recognized by the New York State Senate,” said Senator Fuschillo.
Christopher, a member of Troop 1421, attained the rank of Eagle Scout after many years of hard work and completing an Eagle Scout project. For his project, Christopher organized a cleanup and landscaping renovation project at Clubhouse of Suffolk County, a facility which helps those with serious mental illnesses lead healthy, productive, and satisfying lifestyles. The project helped beautify the facility grounds by creating a new garden and removing trash, weeds, and debris from the facility grounds.
With the Senate passage of the legislative resolution, Christopher’s name and achievement will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
