“I applaud Governor Cuomo for urging Washington to expedite the review and approval process to allow work to begin on the Tappan Zee Bridge project.
In July, I toured the Tappan Zee Bridge with Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino to raise awareness about the need to rebuild the bridge, which is a vital economic artery for both New York State and the entire country. A new Tappan Zee Bridge is critical to the economic development of our entire region which will help create jobs and greatly improve our transportation infrastructure.
I am pleased that the Governor is making this a priority and thank him for taking action to help get this project moving forward.”
