Senator Fuschillo Congratulates Calhoun High School Cross Country Team on Winning Nassau County Championship

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Calhoun High School to congratulate the boys cross country team on winning the 2010 Nassau County Class A Championship.

“After putting in many weeks of practice, training, and hard work, the Calhoun Boys Cross Country Team achieved something that every team aspires to earn; a championship. It’s wonderful to see the team earn this reward for their hard work, and I congratulate them on their championship season,” said Senator Fuschillo.

Senator Fuschillo presented the team with copies of a legislative resolution he sponsored, which was passed by the State Senate, in honor of the team’s championship season. With passage of the resolution, the team’s coaches and athletes will forever have their names and accomplishment be part of the official record of the New York State Senate.
