Senator Fuschillo Informs Residents How to Report Power Outages to Lipa Through Text Messages

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) is informing residents how they can use their smart phones to report power outages and receive restoration updates from LIPA. 

LIPA’s new “Power Out? Text It In” program allows ratepayers to report power outages at their homes or businesses through text messages from anywhere at any time. Residents can also receive text updates from LIPA about restoration efforts.  Additionally, power outages can still be reported through LIPA’s website, www.lipower.org or by calling 1-800-490-0075.
