Senator Fuschillo Named One of the Top “Pro-Jobs” Supporters by Business Council of New York State

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) was recently named one of the New York State Legislature’s top “pro-jobs” supporters by the Business Council of New York State. Senator Fuschillo was tied for the highest score in the Senate in the Business Council’s 2011 legislative scorecard.
Senator Fuschillo earned high marks for supporting legislation which will help businesses grow and create jobs. Senator Fuschillo supported the creation of a permanent “Recharge NY” program to provide low-cost power to businesses so they can create & retain jobs, as well as enhancing the Excelsior Jobs Program to include expanded tax credits to help businesses create jobs. Senator Fuschillo also supported New York State’s new property tax cap law.
“With nearly 100,000 Long Islanders unemployed, we need to do everything we can to help businesses grow and create jobs. We took a number of steps this year which will help promote economic development and put people back to work. I look forward to building on these accomplishments and continue working to promote economic development in the year ahead,” said Senator Fuschillo.
