Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) today joined with hundreds of local residents and cyclists in support of the annual Wounded Warriors bike ride.
The ride helped raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides aid to seriously wounded military veterans. As part of the ride, over 30 Wounded Warriors, joined by hundreds of others local residents and cyclists, traveled 23 miles from Babylon Town Hall to Overlook Beach.
Senator Fuschillo honored the Wounded Warriors at the ride’s kick-off ceremony hosted by Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone at Babylon Town Hall. He then joined with members of the Amityville Historical Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7223 in saluting the Wounded Warriors and the other riders as they passed through downtown Amityville.
Senator Fuschillo is pictured supporting the riders as they travel down Broadway in Amityville Village on their way to Overlook Beach.
