New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently partnered with the Integrated Medical Foundation and Bostwick Laboratories to offer a free prostate cancer screening program at the Massapequa Library.
“The best way to successfully treat prostate cancer is by detecting it early, which is why it’s so important that men get screened. I’m pleased so many residents were able to take advantage of this important screening program, and I thank the Integrated Medical Foundation and Bostwick Laboratories for partnering with me to provide this service,” said Senator Fuschillo.
Prostate Cancer is the second most common cancer in men, with approximately one in six men being diagnosed with it in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. Early detection is vital to successfully treating prostate cancer.
Men who were unable to participate in the screening program but would like additional information about free prostate cancer screening programs can call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
