Senator Adams’ statement:
“The death of Osama Bin Laden is bittersweet. It brings a certain level of closure for the many lives lost and the families that continue to hold onto their memory. The efforts, bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers were not in vain. However, it is important that we remain vigilant toward future threats. Homeland security strategies are a crucial part of our safety and should be our number one priority. Terrorism is still very much alive and we should do all that we can to protect ourselves. The father of hate is dead, but the children that his hate bred are still alive.”
