Senator George Maziarz (R-C, Newfane) is pleased to announce that Anthony P. Girasole, a Principal with Brisbane Consulting Group in Buffalo, has been chosen to serve on the New York State Board of Real Estate Appraisal. This panel oversees the activities of all real estate appraisers across the state, including setting policy, monitoring Department of State appraisal activities, reviewing licensing applications, and adjudicating complaints.
“I am humbled and flattered by this appointment and appreciate the confidence Senators Skelos and Maziarz have expressed in me,” said Mr. Girasole. “I look forward to working with the Board and the Department of State in elevating our profession.”
“Tony clearly brings a wealth of experience, education, knowledge, and tradition to the table,” Senator Maziarz said. “I was honored help him earn a seat on this important board, and I have every confidence that he will make many important contributions to the real estate appraisal profession in New York.”
Mr. Girasole worked in the family business, Girasole Appraisal Company, for more than two decades, and served as its president for 13 years. His father previously served on the state Real Estate Appraisal Board in the early 1990s.
Mr. Girasole is a MAI member of the Appraisal Institute and is serving as the Vice President of its Upstate New York Chapter in 2011. This year he will also assume the presidency of the New York State Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He is active in many other professional organizations, has served as an expert witness for various boards and courts, and has several publications to his credit.
Mr. Girasole resides with his family in Lewiston.
