On Sunday, October 30, the Shelter Rock Public Library, located at 165 Searingtown Road in Albertson, held a rededication ceremony to celebrate the library’s recent renovation. The renovation includes new lighting, carpeting, furniture and comfortable seating areas, plus more modern, handicapped-accessible restrooms, a handicapped-accessible story hour room, and automatic doors. Additional computers are available for public use.
“The Shelter Rock Library is a beautiful facility. I want to commend the library’s board of trustees and the residents for committing themselves to this project. We all realize how valuable libraries are to our communities. This renovation beautifies this building so that it can be enjoyed by the community. I am honored to be a part of this ceremony,” said Senator Martins.
