On June 1, George Mullen, General Manager, Winthrop Management of 1111 Marcus Avenue, presented a check to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Metro New York for $15,000. The money was raised between April 26 and May 26 when 1111 Marcus Avenue participated in their first Jeans for Wishes campaign benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York. Jeans for Wishes is a charitable campaign and fundraiser that invites companies, organizations and schools to join together and wear jeans to raise funds to help make wishes come true for children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions living in the five boroughs of New York City and Nassau County. The tenants of 1111 Marcus Avenue who participated in the campaign helped make dreams come true for these children. Proclamations were issued by Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman Lee Seeman and Barbara Donno of Senator Jack M. Martins' office.
