Students from St. Brigid's School in Westbury visited with Senator Jack M. Martins at the State Capitol to talk about schools, Catholic education and current events. The students were hosted by Senator Martins during the annual Catholic Conference day in Albany. Senator Martins welcomed the students and sat with them in the New York State Senate conference room to hear what was on their minds. A great discussion took place on issues important to the conference and greater Long Island community. During the meeting, students had the opportunity to give their opinions and a little advice to Senator Martins on issues being debated at the State Capitol. "You learn a lot when you listen to young people like the students at St. Brigid's. These young women were well informed on the issues and were ready to talk and engage our State leaders. I was very proud and impressed by all of them. Quite frankly, they made my day in Albany when they dropped by to talk. Thank you St. Brigid's for your hard work and advocacy for important issues for all of our communities," said Senator Martins.
