Senator Jack M. Martins is hoping to bring some cheer to families who are coping with the illness of a child by hosting a holiday toy drive. All toys donated will be given to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island to be distributed to children who are being treated for illness and their families.
Toys can be dropped off at Senator Martins District Office at 151 Herricks Road, Suite 202, in Garden City Park.
Senator Martins has held a successful food drive and a candy drive and now hopes that residents will once again donate to a worthy cause. “The generosity of the residents of the Seventh Senate District has been overwhelming. We are just trying to make the holidays a little brighter for some families who may be going through a difficult time,” Senator Martins said.
The mission of The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is to give comfort and shelter to families experiencing the pain of having a sick child in local hospital facilities.
Toys can be dropped off anytime through December. If anyone is interested in being a donation site, please call Senator Martins’ District Office at 746-5924.
