Senator Martins Introduces 'How a Bill Becomes a Law?' Program For 4th and 5th Grade Students

Senator Jack M. Martins wants to hear your ideas!
Senator Martins is sponsoring a program for all 4th and 5th grade students in the Seventh Senate District to submit an idea for legislation. The program is designed to encouraged students to learn about government by being active participants.
Submissions will be accepted from January 2 through February 2. Ideas will be reviewed as Senator Martins heads to the State Capitol for the 2012 Legislative Session!
Should any school wish to participate, please call Senator Martins' office at 746-5924. "It is my hope that through this program the students will learn not only about the legislative process but get an understanding for the importance of civic involvement at every level of government. Please do not hesitate to reach out to my district office with any questions," Senator Martins said.
