Senator Martins Roots on Elmont in Petrocelli Classic

State Senator Jack Martins attended the Gregg Petrocelli Classic Basketball Tournament at Elmont Memorial High School this past weekend. The tournament is held in memory of Petrocelli, a coach and well respected guidance counselor at Elmont Memorial High School. The tournament hosts basketball games all day and celebrates the memory of Petrocelli who was know to a man where "everything he touched, he changed" positively for people. Senator Martins attended both classic basketball games featuring the Elmont Spartans, H. Frank Carey Seahawks and the Freeport Red Devils. "The Petrocelli Classic is a day where we remember a great educator, coach, father figure and man who inspired many young people in Elmont. He is sorely missed and this tournament is a beautiful way to cherish his memory," said Senator Martins.
