Senator Jack M. Martins will be sponsoring a flu shot program on Friday, November 4 at the Port Washington Library. Flu shots will be given out, in conjunction with CVS Pharmacy, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Hagedorn Room. The library is located at 245 Main Street in Port Washington.
According to the New York State Department of Health, getting immunized will protect you from catching the flu, a serious illness that can make you very sick. It will also help protect your loved ones. The best time to receive the flu shot is between early fall and December. The flu shots will be available for those 18 and over.
“It’s better to get the shot than risk getting the flu this coming season. By making the shots available in the community, we are trying to make it convenient for our residents so that we can all have a healthy fall and winter season,” Senator Martins said.
If there are any questions or to RSVP, contact Senator Martins District Office at 746-5924.
Residents should remember to bring their insurance information.
