Senator Jack M. Martins spent an afternoon at Holy Trinity Diocesan High School in Hicksville, speaking with Ms. Picatagi’s government class. The students asked Senator Martins questions about his job as a Senator. They also asked questions about current issues such as healthcare and the state budget.
Senator Martins visited Holy Trinity after receiving an invitation to visit the school from student Danielle Beaudette.
Just as the students got going with their questions, the bell rung. But, Senator Martins said he would love to go back and continue the discussion. “I want to thank the students of Holy Trinity for having me. We had an engaging discussion about government. I enjoyed it and look forward to going back,” he said.
