Senator Martins Visits Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center

Senator Jack M. Martins visited the Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center site in Middle Island where he was able to witness why they have received an impressive record and long standing reputation as an integrated program helping children with disabilities and their families. Just Kids has been at the forefront, continuously fighting the battle to provide special needs children with the best education possible.

Just Kids is a non-public preschool providing comprehensive early intervention programs to young developmentally and non-developmentally disabled children, birth to five years of age located in Middle Island, Lindenhurst, William Floyd School District, and Riverhead. They offer high quality educational, developmental, and rehabilitative services and curriculum promoting the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development of children. Just Kids provides an alternative forum to parents when existing schools within the community fail to provide the appropriate early childhood school program and is unable to support and meet their child’s complex needs.

“Just Kids offers high quality programs and services to children with disabilities that will aid them to be successful in future learning,” says Senator Martins. “They have displayed the discipline needed to ensure developmental progress and competency among their students providing them with a foundation for future success in society.”

Just Kids has successfully worked to develop programs, which they offer their students creating different paths they can take in the learning process. As a comprehensive early childhood program, Just Kids provides a quality environment that meets the needs of young children. They have grown and responded to the needs of the community demonstrating their ability to deal effectively with the challenges of young children with special needs.
