Senator Jack M. Martins spent recent Friday visiting North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. North Shore is part of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, which is comprised 15 hospitals including the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Long Island Jewish Hospital, Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York and Franklin Hospital among others.
North Shore University Hospital has numerous ambulatory facilities to satisfy the hospital’s mission of being a leader in quality health care through medical advances while conveying the qualities of compassion and excellence.
North Shore University Hospital recently opened the Katz Women’s Hospital, a world-class facility providing superior care for the special needs of women.
Senator Martins also had the opportunity to visit the hospital’s Center for Learning and Innovation, which fosters and encourages continuous learning among employees at every level.
“Here on Long Island and especially in the Seventh Senate District, we are blessed to have outstanding hospitals that provide the highest quality healthcare,” said Senator Martins. “It’s a comfort to know that hospitals such as North Shore University have such as dedicated and compassionate staff. These medical advances that are being put into place will enable residents to live healthier lives.”
