Senator Serrano today celebrated Three Kings Day by participating in El Barrio's 34th Annual Three Kings Day Parade. Various school groups and organizations from all over New York City take part in this local event each year.
"The Three Kings Day Parade is a terrific celebration of our heritage, and a time-honored tradition that must be protected for generations to come," said the Senator. "Children from throughout the city await this visual feast with anticipation. The camels, live music, dancing, and the puppets make it a wonderful experience for the entire community.”
The Three Kings Day festivities were hosted by El Museo del Barrio, a long-time cultural anchor in the East Harlem community.
