The Ridge Road Fire District along with the American Red Cross will host a Community Blood Drive to help blood donation shortfall caused by Hurricane Irene on Tuesday, September 6th, 2011 from 1pm –to- 6pm at the Headquarters Fire Station at 1299 Long Pond Rd.
Hurricane Irene has affected blood collections along the East Coast, forcing the cancellation of nearly 60 American Red Cross blood drives and resulting in the shortfall of more than 1,500 donations at a time when the nation’s blood supply is already low. The Red Cross urges you to make a blood donation appointment to help stabilize the blood supply. Give the gift of life, please donate. Come in to donate and receive a coupon for a $12.99 oil change and free tire rotation, redeemable at Monro Muffler/Brake locations. All presenting donors are eligible.
