Griffo Thanks Destito for Service to Her District
State Senator Joseph A. Griffo (R-C-IP, Rome) today thanked departing Assemblywoman RoAnn Destito for her 19 years of service to the 116th Assembly District.
“Assemblywoman Destito worked tirelessly for our region,” Griffo said. “I have had the pleasure to work with her both as a local official and as a fellow legislator. Even if we had differing opinions we were always able to find a common ground when it came to issues that were vital to the future of our region’s economy and its communities. She was very steadfast in her convictions and very aggressive and effective in working for the people who relied upon her to be their voice in the state Assembly. While I will miss working with her as a fellow legislator, we will be honored that the Commissioner of the vitally important Office of General Services will be someone who will still be attentive to our region and its needs and who can help work with all New Yorkers, regardless of the region they reside. I want to thank RoAnn for all that she has done, and I wish her the best in the years to come.”
