Kevin S. Parker
August 26, 2011
Hurricane Irene is predicted to hit the New York Metropolitan area this weekend. With possible MTA service outages and predicted flooding all throughout NYC, Senator Kevin Parker in partnership with Sesame Flyers International Inc. has decided to postpone Harvest Fest 2011.
The new date and time will be:
September 10, 2011
12:00 PM – 6:00PM
Paerdegat Park in Brooklyn, NY.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact my office at 718-629-6401.
I join our Governor and the Mayor in encouraging you to have emergency kits of basic supplies and “go bags” of essential documents, extra cash, medications, batteries and other items ready to grab in the unlikely event of an evacuation. The Red Cross has printable checklists in a variety of languages on its website.
Finally, stay close to a television or radio throughout the weekend to get the very latest information on emergency conditions. You can also call 311 and/or sign up at the Notify NYC website to receive updates about emergency events via e-mail, SMS or phone.
Yours in Partnership,
Kevin Parker
