Statement from Senator Kevin Parker Honoring Geraldine Ferraro
Our nation and state has lost a remarkable woman who served as an ambassador, a vice presidential candidate, a Member of Congress, a prosecutor, a wife, and mother. A proud daughter of Newburgh, Geraldine Ferraro never forgot her roots and was respected as a fierce advocate for the least fortunate in our society. Her vision inspired women not only in the America but around the world.
“We will miss Gerry. The people have lost a champion. My thoughts and prayers are with Gerry’s husband John, her children, and their family,” said Senator Parker
