Freshman Senator Also Secures Appointment to Seven Other Committees
Albany, NY- State Senator Lee M. Zeldin (R, C, I- Shirley) announced today that he has been selected to Chair the Senate Standing Committee on Consumer Protection.
“It’s an honor to be selected to chair the Committee on Consumer Protection. As Chairman, I will be a strong advocate for the rights of consumers for the residents of the Third Senate District and throughout New York,” said Senator Zeldin.
“In these difficult economic times, my committee will work to help New York Consumers get value for their hard earned dollars,” continued Zeldin.
In addition, Senator Zeldin was named to the following committees: Veterans and Homeland Security, Higher Education, Transportation, Judiciary, Investigations and Government Operations, Aging and Mental Health.
“It’s a privilege to be named to these Committees. I am excited to get to work on important legislation to help all New Yorkers,” concluded Zeldin.
