“On the 10th Anniversary of September 11th, 2001, we all honor and remember those who lost their lives on that tragic day,” said State Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I- Shirley).
9/11 will forever remain a day of reflection for all Americans, one now ingrained in the American psyche for generations to come. Not only must we remember the tragedy and terror of the day, but also the courage and great sacrifice of those first responders who answered the call when their fellow Americans needed them most.
On a personal note, my thoughts today are also with my fellow servicemembers—especially those of our nation's heroes stationed on the front lines of our battle against terrorism throughout the world. With a heavy heart, I also reflect on the families and friends of those who lost their lives on that fateful day that changed the course of American history. We must never forget this day, and remain ever vigilant in our struggle to ensure that the events of September 11th, 2001 never happen again.”
