Tax Relief Now Supports MTA Tax Repeal Legislation

Albany, NY- Senator Lee M. Zeldin (R, C, I -Shirley) announced that Tax Relief Now is supporting his MTA Payroll Tax Repeal legislation (S.5596/A.8193).
Tax Relief Now released the following statement:
“Tax Relief Now fully endorses the efforts of Senator Lee Zeldin to have the MTA Payroll Tax repealed in this legislative session. We urge all of our supporters to contact Governor Cuomo and voice their sentiments, as well. The time has come to repeal this unfair, immoral and unconstitutional tax, once and for all.”
“I am proud to announce that our legislation has received the support of Tax Relief Now, an organization with the noble mission to hold the MTA more accountable for its finances,” said Senator Zeldin.
Tax Relief Now has been the driving force behind efforts to have the MTA Payroll Tax repealed through the court system.
“Since the inception of the job-killing MTA Payroll Tax, Tax Relief Now, has been partnering with me to lead the fight against this ill conceived tax. I thank them for their support and full endorsement of this legislation.”
Tax Relief Now’s support adds to a growing list of endorsements the legislation has received in the past week since being announced. Endorsements have also come from the New York State Catholic Conference, The Empire State Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, the National Federation of Independent Businesses, Business Council of New York State, Inc., Conservative Party of New York State, Long Island Business News, New York Farm Bureau, GrowPAC, restructuring expert Harry Wilson, Long Island Cares, Inc., Long Island Business Council, Hauppauge Industrial Association, and several Chambers of Commerce.
