Statement From Senator Malcolm a Smith Re: City Council Hearings

  "I would like to applaud Speaker Christine Quinn, Council Member Letitia James, Chair of Sanitation and Solid Waste Management, and the entire City Council for convening the snow removal hearings.What I saw today showed government working and engaged in the people's business. While all the questions could not be answered it was a good start to getting to the bottom of what went wrong. I will be taking a hands on approach with the next storm to assure that this never happens again."
