Sen. Grisanti Joins Heritage Centers' 60th Anniversary Celebration

New York State Senator Mark J. Grisanti will pay a visit to Heritage Centers’ Allentown Industries in downtown Buffalo on Thursday,
August 4, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. as part of the agency’s 60th anniversary celebration.
Senator Grisanti’s stop will include a tour of Allentown Industries’ 40,000 sq. ft. work center where approximately 200 adults with special needs are employed to assemble and package products for companies across the nation.
“I am excited to be touring Allentown Industries especially as Heritage Centers celebrates 60 years of experience in delivering comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout my district. I look forward to working with Heritage Centers in the future to continue the agency’s tradition of excellence,” said Senator Grisanti.
“Since his election to the state’s 60th Senate District, Senator Grisanti has shown sensitivity for people with disabilities,” according to Michael Gross, Executive Director of Heritage Centers. “We welcome his visit and interest in our agency and the people we serve and are honored that he will be part of our year-long anniversary celebration.
Heritage Centers is a local not-for-profit that employs nearly 1,000 people and serves more than 3,000 individuals with disabilities and their families each year. Individualized services include, but are not limited to: early intervention, education, residential, vocational, service coordination, and legal and advocacy programming.
