Brooklyn 5k Run to Benefit Semper Fi Fund Set for Saturday

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, 22nd District), Congressman Michael Grimm (R-C, 13th District) and Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-C, 60th District) are among those expected to participate in the 5K Run to benefit the Semper Fi Fund this Saturday, May 21, 2011 starting 10:00 a.m. at 81st Street and Shore Road.
The 5K course runs along the scenic Narrows Promenade, along the Shore Road Bike Path, and an awards ceremony and raffle will take place at Cannonball Park, 101st Street and 4th Avenue, immediately following the race.
The Injured Semper Fi Fund is a nonprofit set up to provide immediate financial support for injured and critically ill members of the United States Armed Forces and their families. For more information, please visit their website at www.semperfifund.org
