Local Elected Officials to Join in Launch of Small Business Development Center in Brooklyn

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, 22nd District), Congressman Michael Grimm (R-C, 13th District) and Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-C, 60th District), will join the Small Business Development Center, in a round table discussion and ceremony to launch their newly created Brooklyn satellite office. Area merchant leaders and store owners will join the elected officials at Boulevard Books and Cafe located at 7518-13th Avenue on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The elected officials was instrumental in making sure such a program opened in Brooklyn which will offer strategic guidance, free-of-charge, to businesses so to invest in the borough’s economy and create and save jobs. The Brooklyn office will serve the Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst communities.

This week is small business week and Boulevard Books and Cafe will be celebrating their first anniversary in business.
