Brooklyn – Calling U.S. Army Veteran Antonio Pellegrini the “Face of America”, State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), this morning presented a New York State Senate Resolution, in honor of his taking the Oath of Allegiance as a new United States citizen outside U.S. Court Eastern District in Brooklyn prior to his naturalization ceremony.
Mr. Pellegrini, who was born in Bari, Italy in 1948, has been a resident of the United States for more than 49 years, calling Brooklyn, New York home. Antonio attended I.S. 228 and Lafayette High School. Mr. Pellegrini volunteered to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Antonio Pellegrini was joined by his wife Rosemary.
Senator Golden stated, “I am so honored to have greeted an American war hero moments before he officially was welcomed as a citizen of the United States. This is what our Nation is all about. Service to our friends, our neighbors, our Nation and to our God. I congratulate Antonio for his service and thank him for his contributions to New York and to the United States.”
