Senator Golden to Host Community Town Fair for Marine Park, Gerritsen Beach and Sheepshead Bay Neighborhoods

Brooklyn – State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) is inviting area residents to attend his next neighborhood town fair on Thursday, November 3, 2011 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Salt Marsh Nature Center located at 3302 Avenue U in Brooklyn.

The event, will feature an opportunity for residents to have one on one conversations with City agencies in an informational fair setting, and also a town hall question and answer meeting. The NYPD will be offering crime prevention information and the Fire Department will be providing give-aways for the home.

Senator Golden has invited the following governmental agencies to attend including the Departments of Buildings, Environmental Protection, Sanitation, Finance, Transportation, Parks, the Brooklyn Public Library and the New York State Energy Research Development Authority.

Senator Marty Golden stated, “Local residents should plan to attend and speak with my staff or any of the agencies in attendance, about any issues or concerns they may be having that is affecting their quality of life. Whether you have a question about a parking ticket or a water bill, or want to make a complaint about a street light that is not working or question your property tax bill, it is important that you attend this meeting.”

Golden continued, “I also would invite the community to attend this meeting and take advantage of the services being offered by the NYPD and FDNY to improve your personal safety.”
