Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) this morning hosted his ninth annual Veteran’s Day Breakfast, honoring the men and women who served our country.

The event, which had an attendance of over 150 veterans from WWII through Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, including five Wounded Warriors who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, is the Senator’s way to thank all those who sacrificed for our freedoms.

Senator Golden, addressing the crowd, stated, “Thank you to the Marines, and to the Army, and to the Navy, and to the Air Force, and to the Coast Guard. To the brave men and women who have answered our Nation’s call to service in the name of all of us, thank you for what you have accomplished and what you have done for the citizens of America and for the citizens of the World.”

Golden continued, “For it is through your sacrifice and courage, that of our Veterans here today and those all across Brooklyn, our City and our State, that the American military has been able to fight against communism, Nazism, and terrorism.”

The Senator honored Wounded Warriors Scott Roberts, USMC SS, Tommy Davis – USA CPT, Adrienne Ruiz – USA SFC, Jason Grant Grace – USA SGT, and Jerome Elliott – USA SGT at the event.
