Senator Golden Named to State Senate Leadership

Albany - State Senator Martin J Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) has issued the following statement following his appointment to the position of Assistant Senate Majority Whip of the New York State Senate:
“I thank Senate Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos for selecting me to serve as the Assistant Senate Majority Whip and look forward to working with the Senate leadership to address the issues that are on the minds of all New Yorkers.
This leadership role will allow me in part the opportunity to have a voice in creating the Senate’s legislative agenda. And as such, promote the policy issues that most effect my district, New York City and New York State. Working with my colleagues in the Senate, this session we will work to bring down personal and property taxes, reduce crime, and create jobs and better opportunities here in the Empire State.
Along with my appointment to the Senate Finance Committee, and now as Assistant Senate Majority Whip, I look forward to working with my colleagues to help balance New York’s budget and close our deficit.”
