Senator Golden Partners WITH the Visiting Nurse Service to Offer Free Flu Shots

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) in conjunction with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, is announcing that he will be offering free flu shots for senior citizens, uninsured residents, and those who the Health Department is encouraging to get the annual flu vaccine, at two events during the first the month of October.
Free flu shots will be available to the community on Monday, October 24, 2011 from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 pm at the Bay Ridge Manor, located at 476-76th Street, and on Thursday, October 27, 2011, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Cort Club, located at 2648 Gerritsen Avenue.
Senator Marty Golden stated, "I am proud to once again partner with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York to make the flu vaccination available at no cost to residents of my district. I wish to remind everyone how important it is get a flu shot so to avoid the risk of being inflicted with the virus and falling ill this winter.”
