Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) has announced that he will provide free income tax preparation services, for the 14th year, to senior citizens and residents of his district earning less than $30,000.
Appointments will be available at his district office located at 7408-5th Avenue, from February 5th through April 14th, every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Senator Golden stated "I am proud to announce for the 14th year that my office will be hosting free tax preparation services. The volunteers, along with my staff, provide an outstanding service to a great number of people who meet the qualifications each year, but it is important that individuals make an appointment. Appointments are necessary so to be sure local residents have an opportunity to have their taxes filed on time and completed at no charge.”
The volunteers who will be providing assistance are college students who have been studying income tax law. Services will be provided by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling Senator Golden’s district office at (718) 238-6044.
