Senator Golden Strongly Condemns Acts of Anti-Semitism and Hatred Found in Brooklyn Neighborhood

Golden Offers $1000 Reward for Information Leading to an Arrest

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), has issued the following statement in response to racially charged acts of anti-Semitism discovered today in the Midwood section of Brooklyn. Senator Golden is matching Councilman Greenfield’s reward offer and posting an additional $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.

“To think that in 2011, acts of such religious intolerance are happening on the streets of Brooklyn is not only disturbing, but truly disgraceful. There is no place in our society for acts of racism or religious intolerance and I join with my colleagues in government, and all New Yorkers, in condemning these acts of hatred.

I trust that the NYPD will fully investigate this incident and catch the cowards that burned cars, and left horrific and offensive markings on sidewalks and benches on Ocean Parkway. I know that these vandals will be prosecuted to the full extent under the law. I ask anyone with information to come forward or contact the NYPD so that we can get such appalling individuals off the streets quickly.”
