Senator Marty Golden Plans Series of Town Hall Meetings Throughout District in April

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) will be hosting a series of community town hall meetings for the residents of his district throughout the month of April. The town hall meetings are scheduled for April 6th, 7th and 13th and all begin at 7:00 p.m.

 

*Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights residents are invited to attend a neighborhood town hall meeting on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 8401 Ridge Boulevard.

 

*Bensonhurst and Gravesend residents are invited to a town hall meeting on Thursday, April 7, 2011 to be held at Intermediate School 228, located at 228 Avenue S.

 

*Marine Park, Gerritsen Beach and Sheepshead Bay residents are invited to attend Senator Golden’s community town hall on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Salt Marsh Nature Center, located at 3302 Avenue U (at East 33rd Street).

 

Senator Golden is encouraging the community to attend the meeting which will be an opportunity to discuss concerns related to the quality of life of the community and issues effected by the 2011-2012 New York State Budget. Senator Golden has invited the participation of the following agencies: the NYPD, the FDNY Fire Safety Unit, the NYC Department of Transportation, the NYC Department of Sanitation, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, the New York City Transit Authority (M.T.A.), the Department of Buildings, and the Department of Parks and Recreation.

 

Senator Golden will be updating the community on his recent legislative efforts as well as ongoing projects in the community and announce some upcoming events. Senator Golden and his staff will be providing important community information for those in attendance.
