State Legislators to Propose Tougher Penalties Against Child Predators

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) and Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-C, Brooklyn/Staten Island) will host a press conference tomorrow, Friday, October 7, 2011, at 11:30 a.m., outside the Bay Ridge Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library located at 7223 Ridge Boulevard in Brooklyn.
The lawmakers will announce legislation they have sponsored in both the Senate and the Assembly that will increase the penalties for predators who attempt to lure or entice a child by means of a computer, or into a vehicle or a secluded area, for the purposes of a sexual encounter or to commit a criminal offense.
Local members of the community have been invited to join the legislators at the announcement.
Members of the media are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
