Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today issued the following statement in response to the arrest of the Bay Ridge rape suspect:
“I commend 68th Precinct Deputy Inspector Eric Rodriguez and the police officers who led the investigation which has led to the arrest of an individual charged with robbery and sexual assault of two women in our neighborhood on the night of Friday, February 25, 2011.
I know that the 68th Precinct focused their efforts on bringing swift justice in this case. Such criminal and heinous behavior has no place in our society. I know that all community residents are relieved to know that this predator is behind bars this morning and are grateful for the efforts of the New York City Police Department.”
