Breast Cancer Help, Inc. held its 16th Annual Gala and Casino Night at the Sheraton Long Island in Hauppauge.  The evening included dinner, musical entertainment, raffles, and casino games including blackjack, roulette, craps and a money wheel.  All proceeds benefited Breast Cancer Help, Inc., its Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center, and research for the causes and cure of breast cancer.

“I was pleased to be selected as this year’s honoree for the 16th Annual Gala and Casino Night,” Senator Johnson said.  “ I applaud the tireless mission of Breast Cancer Help, Inc. in providing programs and services for early detection and treatment of breast cancer.”

“Many people have someone near and dear to them who have suffered with breast cancer,” Senator Johnson continued.  “In the spirit of keeping our mothers, wives and daughters healthy, let’s support Breast Cancer Help, Inc. in their ongoing efforts to promote early detection, fight this disease and, ultimately, to find a cure for breast cancer.”

Senator Johnson received the Harry Ballard Humanitarian Award for his longstanding support and his efforts in securing over $1 million in funding for Breast Cancer Help, Inc. since the organization’s inception in 1994.
