Ernest J. Pizirusso, of West Babylon Received The 2011 Long Term Care Employee of Distinction Award by LeadingAge New York

Senator Owen H. Johnson congratulated Mr. Ernest J. Pizirusso, of West Babylon, who received the 2011 Long Term Care Employee of Distinction Award by LeadingAge New York. Mr. Pizirusso, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing & Rehabilitative Care Center, was honored at the 2011 Employee of Distinction Award Ceremony held at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing & Rehabilitative Care Center on November 2, 2011.
“Ernest Pizirusso has my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for his outstanding commitment and dedication in helping to improve the quality of life for the elderly and chronically disabled,” Senator Johnson said. “He is truly deserving of the recognition bestowed upon him as he exemplifies the qualities of Our Lady of Consolation Nursing Facility desires in their employees, as well as being a role model to his fellow employees.”
The Employee of Distinction Award was created to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of staff working with LeadingAge New York member organizations. The selection committee consisted of representatives from the State Legislature, the Office of the Aging and other long-term care associations.
LeadingAge New York, formerly known as the New York Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (NYAHSA), is the only statewide organization representing the entire continuum of not-for-profit, mission-driven and public senior living and services, including nursing homes, senior housing, adult care facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living providers and community service providers. Its more than 500 not-for-profit, mission-driven and public provider members serve an estimated 500,000 New Yorkers of all ages annually.
