Members of the NY Senate Long Island Delegation visited Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY on July 13, 2011. The senators received an update from directors and researchers on the Lab’s energy and health research portfolios, New York State partnerships, and the economic impact to the state and local economies. Brookhaven National Laboratory currently employs 3,000 people, creates over 5,400 jobs and provides $700 million in economic output on Long Island and throughout New York State.
