RITCHIE: SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS BRINGS HELP TO SANTA
Presents Begin Arriving At District Offices
State Senator Patty Ritchie is shown with toys she collected that are destined for Christmas gift programs in Central and Northern New York.
On Monday, area residents began bringing presents for area children to her district offices in Ogdensburg, Watertown and Oswego after she issued an appeal for toys for needy children.
With less than a week before Christmas, Senator Ritchie said some Christmas programs had seen a sharp increase in requests for help, raising the possibility that some children might find Santa forgot them Christmas morning.
Over 100 gifts of toys, mittens, hats and other gifts had been donated as of Tuesday morning to the three offices.
