The Job Fair and Career Expo hosted by North Country State Sens. Patty Ritchie and Joseph A. Griffo has picked up another 10 employers, bringing the total to more than 60 businesses, health care agencies and exhibitors signed up for the first time event.
In addition to accepting job applications, exhibitors will provide career counseling, assistance with resume-writing, and tips for improving interview skills, as well as information about starting your own business.
The event will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 2 to 6 PM, at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) Hall in Ogdensburg, at the corner of Rt. 37 and Linden Street.
“I was very surprised and pleased to hear from employers who said that they are hiring and are looking to meet people who are looking for a new job or career,” Senator Ritchie said. “There will also be agencies on hand that can help people get the kind of skills they need to get the kind of job they want.’
A similar event hosted by Senator Ritchie in Oswego drew over 300 participants.
Participation in the Job Fair and Career Expo is free, and preregistrations are being accepted at this link.
Businesses, employers and agencies are welcome to reserve a space and obtain additional details by calling 393-3024.
An updated list of participating employers and agencies is also available here.
