State Senator Patty Ritchie will host a “Mobile District Office” at the McAuslan Municipal Building, on Thursday, July 28, from 4 PM to 6 PM.
Constituent Service staff from Sen. Ritchie’s Oswego District Office will be on hand to help area residents with any issues they may be having with state or other government agencies.
The Mexico Mobile District Office is the first of several such events that Sen. Ritchie is planning across Oswego County, including a second Mobile District Office event on Aug. 4 in Central Square.
“I am pleased to have opened the first full-time State Senate office in years in Oswego County, located at the County Office Building in Oswego, and my Constituent Service staff has already helped over 100 Oswego County residents with problems getting answers and results from state government agencies,” Senator Ritchie said.
“But for some hardworking men and women, even travelling to Oswego to meet with me or my staff can be inconvenient. That’s why I’m hosting these Mobile District Office hours in communities across the county, so I can bring this service directly to you.”
Constituents can get advice and guidance in dealing with state agencies, and Sen. Ritchie’s staff will be collecting information to help those who can’t get the answers they need, or are having difficulty navigating the cumbersome state bureaucracy.
During the day, Senator Ritchie also will be meeting with local Town and Village of Mexico officials, and discussing ways her office can help them better serve their communities, as well as help grow the local economy to create new jobs.
