McDonald Leads Breakout Session at Governor Cuomo’s Economic Development Council

Albany – Senator Roy McDonald led a breakout session discussion at Governor Cuomo’s economic development council on New York “Success Stories in Technology”, which highlighted New York’s position, economic infrastructure assets, and growth opportunities in emerging technologies.
“I want to thank Governor Cuomo for his leadership on working to make New York a competitive place to do business with this economic development council,” said McDonald. “I learned firsthand as a town supervisor the importance of working with the community to bring new businesses into our backyard, these councils will begin this process on a much larger scale.
Clarkson University President Anthony Collins served as the moderator of the discussion; and along with McDonald participants included Assemblyman Kenneth Zebrowski, Dan Berglund the President of the State Science and Technology Institute, Gavin McIntyre the Chief Scientist for Evocative Design, LLC., and Paul Tolley the Executive Director of Smart Systems Technology Commercialization Center.
The breakout session took place in The Empire State Plaza Convention Center, meeting room 4 at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2011.
