Coalition of Latin American Consulates of New York to Visit the Borough of the Bronx
The Coalition of Latin American Consulates of New York has accepted an invitation from State Sen. Rev. Rubén Díaz, Chair of The New York State Senate Puerto Rican and Latino Caucus to visit the Bronx.
Sen. Rev. Díaz on behalf of Sen. Martín Malavé-Dilán, Sen. José M. Serrano, Sen. José Gustavo Rivera, Sen. Adriano Espaillat and Sen. José Peralta, extended an invitation to the 16 Consuls General of the Latin American countries based in New York and members of the Coalition to visit the Bronx and join the President of the Borough of the Bronx, Hon. Rubén Díaz, Jr., to a breakfast and discuss issues that are affecting the various Hispanic communities in the State of New York.
There are 13 of the 16 Consuls General that have confirmed attendance to the breakfast that will be held on Friday February 4, 2011, at 9:00 a.m.in the Bronx Botanical Gardens.
According to the members of the Senate Puerto Rican and Latino Caucus, this meeting is of great importance due to the many problems and issues affecting us in New York and if we can unite our communities we will be able to accomplish much more for our people.
